HaloShield® coatings can be applied to any number of textiles and surfaces.
HaloShield antimicrobial textile applications include:
- Kitchen cleaning cloths
- Kitchen hand towels
- Bath hand towels
- Bath and shower towels
- Bed linens
- Underwear and socks
- Underpads to protect against urine odors and infection
- Protective garments and isolation units for military and Homeland Security applications to protect against biological and chemical warfare agents
- Cleaning cloths and wipes
- Military uniforms
In hospitals, bedding, uniforms, filters and cleaning cloths treated with HaloShield can extend the power of chlorine bleach sanitizers and protect against odors caused from urine and other bodily fluids. In long-term care facilities, bacteria proliferate between cleanings of soiled bedding and incontinence pads, causing odor in the work environment. HaloShield solves these problems by extending the properties of chlorine bleach to eliminate the bacterial source and destroying, not masking odor.
HaloShield technology can provide robust antimicrobial protection for...
- Dishcloths
- Towels
- Scrubs and Uniforms
- Bed linens
- Clothing
When surfaces and fabrics treated with HaloShield are washed with chlorine bleach, the coating (which is completely inert) locks in chlorine molecules, enabling the chlorine to provide ongoing protection against stains, odor-causing bacteria and molds. The coating maintains the sanitizer’s strength and spectrum for as long as months between cleanings. Simply laundering or washing the material with chlorine bleach renews its antimicrobial power.
Other potential applications for HaloShield technology include the food service industry, manufacturing, packaging, building materials, water storage, cleaning tools, air and water filters, toys, cruise lines, mold-prone areas, bathrooms and high-touch surfaces.
